We present some results on a model for economic growth where capital distirbution is spatially non-homogeneous and capital is allowed to relocate according to a nonlinear transport mechanism, and in particular relocating to regions where marginal capital productivity is increasing. New phenomena are shown to emerge such as the emergence of poverty traps or the emergence of large capital concentrations in certain parts of geographical space.
