Your contribution to the MBF 2018 Conference as a presenter, discussant or session chair is greatly appreciated. In addition to the regular sessions of academic research, the program will also include a Young Economist Session (YES).

Publication opportunities

The 2018 MBF Conference is offered in partnership with:

  • Journal of Financial Stability
  • Economic Notes
  • Rivista Bancaria Minerva Bancaria

Specifically, the Conference organizers, in collaboration with the editors of Rivista Bancaria-Minerva Bancaria (RBMB) offers the opportunity to go through a fast-track reviewing process (6 weeks). Authors will not be charged by any submission fee for the Journal. 

Conference Awards

The best paper presented at the “Young Economists Session (YES)” will receive an award. The YES is open only to paper authored and presented by PhD students (or co-authored with other PhD students). Students wishing to be included in the YES and considered for the award must submit a letter from their supervisor or the secretary of their department/faculty, confirming their status as full-time students.

  • Submission procedure open: September 5, 2018
  • Deadline for paper:  September 30, 2018
  • Notification of acceptance by:  October 30 2018
  • Early-bird registration deadline:  November 10, 2018
  • Final registration deadline:  November 25, 2018
  • Conference program disclosure:  December 1, 2018
  • Social dinner: 10 December 2018
  • Conference dates: 10-11 Dec. 2018

Those interested in presenting a paper at the Conference are kindly invited to submit their completed paper through the Conference website:

Registration fees

The registration can be made online by visiting the MBF 2018 website. The following registration fees apply:


  • Registration fees-early (before November 10, 2018, midnight CET) €200
  • Registration fees-regular November 25th, 2018) €250

Full time students

  • Registration fees (before November 10th, 2018 midnight CET) €100

The registration fees will cover administration and organizational costs as well as coffee, lunch break and social dinner, farewell drink.

There will be an extra cost of €50 for inviting a partner to the social dinner.
