Curriculum

Marcello Messori is professor of Economics at the Department of Political Science, Luiss University (Rome) and Director of the Luiss School of  European Political Economy. He teaches Macroeconomics and International Economics. He taught at the Department of Economics, University of Rome "Tor Vergata" from mid Nineties to the a.y. 2011/2012. He is the Chairman of the Scientific Committee of CER (Rome). He published more than one hundred and fifty works in Italian, English, French, and German. In the past, his main fields of research were: the monetary and banking theory, the macroeconomic theory, the history of economic analysis and the empirical study of the Italian economic system. In the last fifteen years, his scientific activity has focused on four main areas: the evolution of the Italian banking system with specific reference to its allocation of the property rights, the new Keynesian models based on asymmetric information and on financial constraints, the Italian sector of institutional investors, and the economic governance of the European Union. During the same period, Marcello Messori has been the coordinator of national and international research groups and has been involved in various institutional activities. In particular, he has been the chairman of an institution for the development of the Italian market of pension funds (MeFoP, and president of the Italian association of asset management (Assogestioni).
