Paolo Giordani is Associate Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics and Finance of LUISS “Guido Carli” University in Rome. Paolo joined LUISS Economics Faculty in 2007. He holds a degree in Economics (summa cum laude) from the University of Bologna and a Ph.D. in Economics from Sapienza University (Rome). His PhD thesis has been awarded a number of prestigious research awards, such as the SIE prize from the Italian Economic Association as the best doctoral dissertation of the year. He has been Marie Curie Fellow at Maastricht University, Jean Monnet Fellow and then Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute (Florence).  Paolo regularly publishes in the most prestigious academic journals in economics, such as the Journal of International Economics or the Journal of Economic Theory. His fields of expertize cover international economics, technological progress and economic growth.
