Economia e finanza

Students in the master’s degree program in Economics and Finance gain the necessary insight to launch successful careers in Italy and around the world. The program places particular emphasis on the role of markets and financial intermediaries. The Department of Economics and Finances offers advanced preparation in price setting, negotiations, operations management as well as the ability to understand important relationships through existing perspectives and trends on the macroeconomic and international finance levels.

The program has three majors: Economics and Finance (both in English) and Banche e intermediari finanziari (in Italian).

The major in Economics focuses on skills and knowledge related to micro and macroeconomics in order to prepare students for careers as economists in the international market. The major in Finance instead focuses on financial markets and intermediaries that work within them. Important program themes are international finance, savings management, stock market operations, the bonds and derivatives market, technological and quantitative skills.

A large number of students may also participate in the QTEM program offered in collaboration with universities around the world.

The two courses in English also allow a limited amount of students to earn a Double Degree in Finance or in Economics with NOVA University in Lisbon while students majoring in Economics may also earn a Double Degree with Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management at Université Libre de Bruxelles.
