Note biografiche

Cecilia Jona-Lasinio is Senior Researcher at the Econometric Studies and Economic Forecasting Division at the Italian Statistical Institute (Istat) and Adjunct Professor of International economics at LUISS Guido Carli, University in Rome. She is Senior Research Fellow of LUISS Lab of European Economics. She authored many publications in the area of ICT, Intangibles and Productivity Growth. She has worked on several EU funded research projects and consultancies for government agencies and international organizations. Her main research interests are productivity growth, knowledge based capital and ICT and macro-econometric modelling and forecasting.

She received her Ph.D in Econometrics and Empirical Economics at the University of Tor Vergata, Rome, Italy, and the Master degree in International Economics, DES (Diplome d’Etudes Superieures en Relationes Internationales), at the Graduate Institute of International Studies, Geneva, (Switzerland).

Previous position

From 2003 to 2008, Head of the Research Office for the measurement of Total Factor Productivity, Gross Fixed Capital Formation and Capital Stock at the Department of National Accounts and Economic Analysis (ISTAT).

  • PhD in Econometrics and empirical economics, University of Tor Vergata, Rome, Italy.

  • Master degree in International Economics, DES (Diplome d’Etudes Superieures en Relationes Internationales), at the Graduate Institute of International Studies, Geneva, (Switzerland).

  • Degree (Laurea) in Economics (110/110 cum laude), University of Rome “La Sapienza”, Rome, Italy.

  • New sources of growth models, knowledge based capital and ICT

  • Productivity analysis and related measurement issues, (correctness test of productivity measures, analysis of their economic foundations and their empirical implementation); growth differentials and economic convergence at the regional and international level.

  • Macro-econometric modelling and forecasting
